Durban City feeling the MFC heat?

With Durban City leading the way at the top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship after 22 matches played, teams such as Kruger United, Orbit College and JDR Stars are standing firm in their bid for PSL Promotion at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
Durban City, who recorded draws with Orbit College and Leruma United in their last two league ties, will take on Upington City at the Chatsworth Stadium on Friday, 28 March.
Hoping to return to the winning column this week, Durban City are six points clear at the top of the pile, while their nearest competitor, Kruger United, will face Cape Town Spurs at the Athlone Stadium on Saturday.
As arguably the most in form team in the league at the moment, Kruger United have won each of their last four Motsepe Foundation Championship fixtures.
Their opponents on the other hand have battled to yield a consistent string of positive results this season and linger in 15th position heading into their latest game week.
Also hoping to end up in a PSL promotion position this season, Orbit College are scheduled to take on Highbury at the Olympia Park Stadium on Sunday.
While Highbury are on a run of two stalemates in the league, Orbit lost ground at the top end of the table by recording four consecutive draws in their last four matches. As it stands, Orbit trail log leaders Durban City by six points.
