TS Galaxy will be looking to continue their dominance over Swallows FC in a DStv Premiership match at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Saturday.
Kick-off is at 3:30pm CAT (SA, GMT+2)
The Rockets extended their winless run to six matches in the league when they succumbed to a 1-0 loss to Marumo Gallants at home on Tuesday.
As a result, the Mpumalanga side is placed 13th on the DStv Premiership standings - a point above the relegation zone and three points behind sixth-placed Stellenbosch FC.
Sead Ramovic, the Galaxy head coach, has defended his side's defensive approach as the Rockets look to maintain their unbeaten record against Swallows.
“There’s no such thing as parking the bus, it’s just a tactical phase where we try to nullify the threats from our opponents,” Ramovic said.
“We play a low block because of the strengths and weaknesses of our opponents. We are aware of the winless run and it’s not too bad, but there are certain things we need to work on to be able to start winning games.
“We just have to be positive and improve our mental capacity.”
Meanwhile, Swallows stretched their winless run to four matches in the DStv Premiership when they lost 2-1 to Kaizer Chiefs at home on Wednesday.
Therefore, Amaswaiswai are placed 16th on the league standings - three points behind ninth-placed AmaZulu FC and a win over Galaxy will see the Soweto giants climb out of the relegation zone
Musa Nyatama, the Swallows interim head coach, stressed the importance of their upcoming matches following their defeat to Chiefs.
"I will take one game at a time for now, just to focus on what's in front of me. I want to help the team come out of this situation, that's what I will do for now. I can't talk about the future because my focus is on the job at hand,'' Nyatama said.
"Each and every game is very important for us now...it is a cup final. We need to collect as many points as we can before the break.
"We've got four games now left before the break, we need to collect a number of points that would see us move to at least positive 12 on the log."
TS GALAXY: PLAYERS TO WATCH
Pogiso Sanoka: The no-nonsense defender was very influential for Galaxy last season as they defeated Swallows 1-0 both home and away in the league. Sanoka will be hoping to replicate the same form this weekend.
Lindokuhle Mbatha: The 37-year-old winger remains a key player for Galaxy having started all of the team's nine games this season and he will be looking to use his blistering speed to unsettle Swallows' defence.
SWALLOWS FC: PLAYERS TO WATCH
Wandisile Letlabika: The experienced defender, who brings stability and leadership to the Swallows defence, was unlucky not to score against Chiefs and he will be eager to lead the Soweto giants to a much-needed win.
Waseem Isaacs: The burly centre forward got a morale-boosting goal against Chiefs and it was his second of the current campaign. Isaacs's physicality and aerial prowess are likely to create problems for the Galaxy backline.
