Zesco United have moved to the top of the MTN Super League table with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Green Eagles on Saturday.
Zesco led three times in the game and managed to hold on in the end against a spirited Eagles side who never gave up.
Collins Sikombe put Zesco ahead from the penalty spot, before Freddy Michael equalised for the visitors, though the home side led again just before the break as Lazarous Kambole put them 2-1 up.
Eagles equalised for the second time through Spencer Sautu 20 minutes into the second period, but shortly afterwards Zesco were back in front through Kelvin Kampamba and this time able to hold on for the win.
Red Arrows climbed into second as they picked up a 1-0 victory over Napsa Stars, the three points handed to them by an own goal from Frederick Mwimanzi.
Promoted Mutondo Stars defeated Mufulira Wanderers with a late, late penalty from Titus Chansa after they had been given the lead early on through Lucky Sikanyika.
In the other game on Saturday, Zanaco and Prison Leopards played to a 0-0 draw.
