The MTN Super League returns this weekend following a break for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and there is a huge match-up on Sunday as second hosts first in the table.

Leaders Power Dynamos can take a giant step towards a first championship since 2011 when they go to Green Buffaloes, looking to extend their seven-point lead at the top of the table.

If they can take that to 10 points with six rounds left then it is very hard to see them being ousted from the summit. But if Buffaloes can claw that back to four points, then it not only keeps them in the frame, but potentially brings the chasing pack into it as well.

Intriguingly, both sides have taken 15 points from the last 27 available, suggesting their form is even, while Buffaloes grabbed a 1-0 away win in the reverse fixture in November. That was one of just two losses for Dynamos this season.

Promoted NAPSA Stars are in the hunt for CAF competition football next season and are also in action on Sunday as they go to Zanaco. They could climb as high as fourth with a win.

Third place FC MUZA are eight points behind Dynamos as they head to Prison Leopards, who are also in the hunt for CAF football. That will be no easy road-trip against a side who have lost just one of their 13 home games this season.

Forest Rangers in fourth host defending champions Red Arrows, who have been in patchy form of late but remain a difficult team. Both sides have been poor in recent matches, so this one could go either way.

Or it could be a draw, with 15 of the previous 28 league meetings between the sides ending in a stalemate, an incredibly high figure.

ZESCO United visit bottom side Buildcon where they will expect a win to keep their slim hopes of CAF football next season alive.

Nkana FC look to have pulled clear of relegation trouble with an excellent run of 13 points from the last 15 available, but Nkwazi are only outside of the relegation zone on goal-difference. This despite them winning four of their last five games.

In other matches on Saturday, second-bottom Chambishi host mid-table Green Eagles, Kabwe Warriors welcome Kansanshi Dynamos and there is a relegation six-pointer between Nchanga Rangers and Lumwana Radiants.
