Red Arrows have extended their lead in the MTN Super League to eight points, albeit having played a game more than their rivals, following a 1-0 victory over defending champions Power Dynamos on Saturday.

Ricky Banda scored the only goal after 12 minutes for a win that not only boosts Arrows’ chances of winning the title, but likely ends Dynamos’ with the latter 12 points back with seven rounds to play.

Second-placed ZESCO United will play their game in hand on Sunday against ZANACO.

Nkana moved two points clear of the relegation zone when they played to a goalless draw with fifth-placed Nkwazi, probably a good point on the road.

Konkola Blades and Mutondo Stars also played to a goalless draw in their fixture.
