Kabwe Warriors reignited their MTN Super League title hopes with a 2-0 victory over Lumwana Radiants on Wednesday to move to within six points of leaders Power Dynamos, albeit having played a game more.

A penalty from David Obashi and a second strike by Francis Banda handed the points to Warriors to end a run of four games without a win.

They will need a strong finish to the campaign and for Dynamos to slip up to have any chance of lifting the trophy.

Defending champions Red Arrows claimed a 2-1 win over Nchanga Rangers which leaves them still in contention, though only just.

Ackim Mumba gave Arrows the lead, before Mohamed Soumahoro equalised for Rangers. However, a goal three minutes before halftime by Godfrey Ngwenya proved to be the winner.

Green Buffaloes and Napsa Stars played to a 2-2 draw in a seesaw battle. Lyson Banda and Felix Banda twice gave Buffaloes the lead, but Stars equalised on both occasions through Simon Nkhata and Luka Banda as the teams shared the spoils.

Green Buffaloes earned a 2-1 win at already relegated Indeni FC despite having to come from behind. Mwila Kalumba gave Indeni a first-half lead, but Warren Kunda and Nkunda Nkandu turned the fixture on its head in the Eagles’ favour.

Given Kalusa gave FC MUZA the lead in their home clash with Mutondo Stars but Moise Kaniki Pumba equalised for the latter in a 1-1 draw.
