The MTN Super League returns on Saturday after the international break for the continuation of what has been a thrilling season to date.

Just three points separate leaders Red Arrows and Mufulira Wanderers down in seventh, with no side able to post a run of wins to take them clear at the top of the table.

Three sides sit at the summit on 22 points – Arrows, ZESCO United and Nkwazi – and they will be hoping to make a break for it this weekend.

Arrows go to Kansanshi Dynamos in Sunday having been a mixed bag before the international break. They are yet to lose at home but have won only two of their games on the road (D2 L2).

Dynamos are hovering just above the relegation zone and will be desperate for the win, but have not recorded a home success against Arrows since 2020.

ZESCO are also in action on Sunday as they welcome old foes Nkana FC, the latter sitting just one place above the bottom of the league after a horror start to the campaign.

Nkana can be buoyed by the fact that their only two wins this season have come away from home, but ZESCO have taken 13 from a possible 18 points on their own patch.

There has not been a draw between these sides in their last 12 meetings, during which time ZESCO have won five clashes and Nkana the other seven. What the latter wouldn’t give for a win this time round.

Nkwazi are on a run of four straight wins as they prepare to welcome winless bottom club Trident (D5 L7). Nkwazi have not won five league games in a row for more than two decades as they chase a first ever league title.

Champions Power Dynamos host high-flying FC MUZA in a tasty clash and could find themselves top of the league by the end of the weekend if they win and other results go their way.

Kabwe Warriors are in fifth as they welcome ZANACO, with the last three meetings between the sides finishing all square, including the previous two at 0-0. Warriors have generally held sway in meetings between these clubs with 18 wins in the last 32 in the league (D7 L7).

Other games on Saturday see Prison Leopards host Mufulira Wanderers, Konkola Blades welcome Forest Rangers and NAPSA Stars go to Green Eagles.

In the other game on Sunday, Green Buffaloes host Mutondo Stars.
