Red Arrows will have another test of their championship credentials when they travel to defending champions Red Arrows in their MTN Super League tie on Saturday, a potentially pivotal moment in the season.

With eight rounds remaining, Arrows lead the table by five points from second-placed ZESCO United, with Dynamos in fourth, nine points back.

A win for Arrows, or even a draw, could knock Dynamos out of contention and give them one less team to worry about in the closing stages of the campaign.

Arrows have won nine of their last 10 league games (D1) to race clear following a difficult start to the campaign, while Dynamos are unbeaten in 12 (W6 D6) but have had too many draws and have dropped off the pace. It is now or never for them.

They may be confident too. Arrows have a single win on their last 17 league visits to Dynamos, with 12 defeats and four draws.

ZESCO will hope for a Dynamos win so they can close the gap on the leaders as they host md-table ZANACO on Sunday. The latter have drawn four of their last five games (W1) as their season fizzles out.

ZESCO have lost only one of their previous 17 matches (W9 D7), but they too have been hurt by too many draws, the latest a 0-0 stalemate at Kabwe Warriors on Thursday.

ZANACO have not won away at ZESCO since 2015 though and have lost their last four visits.

Third-placed FC MUZA are also still in the mix, eight points behind Arrows but within striking distance if they can have a super run to the end of the campaign.

They go to second-bottom Prison Leopards on Sunday and will expect a win against a side who have managed only five wins in their last 26 league games. MUZA are on a hot streak with five wins in a row, their joint club record in the topflight. So a bit of club history beckons this weekend.

Nkana FC will look to get back to winning ways when they go to fifth-placed Nkwazi on Saturday. Nkana have managed to crawl out the relegation zone, but are only one point clear and in danger of being dumped back in there.

Oddly, Nkwazi have won only two of their previous 12 home games against Nkana (D4 L6).

Konkola Blades host Mutondo Stars in a battle between two sides hovering just above the relegation zone, while NAPSA Stars welcome Forest Rangers.

Bottom side Trident, who picked up only a second win of the season in midweek, will hope to make to back-to-back victories when go to Mufulira Wanderers.

Green Eagles host Kansanshi Dynamos and Kabwe Warriors go to Green Buffaloes.
