Power Dynamos extend lead after big win
Power Dynamos put in a strong second-half display as they defeated bottom side Buildcon 5-0 to extend their lead at the top of the MTN Super League to seven points.
The teams had been locked at 0-0 at halftime, but an early red card for the home side allowed Dynamos to take control.
They romped home in the end as a brace from Andy Boyeli was on top of goals from Fredrick Mulambia, Benson Chali and a Thomas Chideu penalty.
Dynamos were able to extend their lead because Forest Rangers were beaten 1-0 at home by FC MUZA, who climb above them in the table to third place.
A goal eight minutes from time from Gift Simanansa was enough for MUZA, who are having a dream season after their promotion in the last campaign.
ZESCO United also slipped to a 1-0 defeat following the competition of their game against Kansanshi Dynamos that had started on Saturday but was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Baba Basile scored the only goal of the game as ZESCO slipped to a second defeat in a row and are languishing in 10th place.
