ZESCO back to winning ways in MTN Super League
ZESCO United got back to winning ways with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Konkola Blades in their MTN Super League clash on Sunday, shooting up the table into third place.
Kelvin Kampamba scored a brace of goals inside the first 22 minutes as the home side overwhelmed their opponents, with Lazarous Kambole adding a third late on.
ZESCO now have seven points from a possible 12 this season, one fewer than leaders ZANACO.
Promoted Mutondo Stars also got a second win of the campaign as they defeated Forest Rangers 3-2 in a five goal thriller as they scored the winner a minute from fulltime.
Richards Mwila gave them the lead from the penalty-spot, before Eric Chomba equalised for Rangers.
Chisha Kampamba had the home side ahead again early in the second period, but Rangers looked as though they would gain a point when they equalised for a second time through Obed Masamboko.
But Dalisto Lungu had the final say as he found the back of the net in the dying minutes to give the home side all three points.
Kansanshi Dynamos claimed their first win of the season after three successive draws when they beat Prison Leopards 2-1.
And Kabwe Warriors and NAPSA Stars played to a 1-1 draw in the fourth game on Sunday as Musonda Kapembwa gave the latter the lead, only for an unfortunate own goal from Daniel Adoko to gift Warriors a point.
