Power Dynamos extend lead in MTN Super League title race
Power Dynamos have extended their lead at the top of the MTN Super League to 10 points following a 3-1 victory over relegation-threatened Chambishi on Sunday.
Dynamos are now well on course for a first league title since 2011 with five rounds remaining in the championship and it would be a huge surprise were they not to complete the job.
Andy Boyeli scored twice for Dynamos to give them a 2-0 halftime lead, before Joshua Mutale added a third shortly after the break.
Mathews Simbeye netted what proved a consolation for Chambishi, who are now six points from safety and in some real trouble as they seek to maintain their top-flight status.
In the second game scheduled for Sunday, already relegated Buildcon reportedly failed to travel for their fixture at Kansanshi Dynamos.
That means a walkover win for the latter, who climb to 11th in the table.
