Red Arrows remain top of the MTN Super League on Saturday despite being held to a surprise 1-1 draw by Konkola Blades.

They lead the table on goal-difference from Kabwe Warriors, who stunned ZESCO United with a 2-1 away win to continue their impressive start to the campaign.

Konkola Blades took the lead midway through the first half via Erick Etienne, before Peter Kalota rescued a point for Arrows in the second half.

Warriors victory came after a brace from Mwamba Mutombo, who opened the scoring and then got the winner after Moise Lola Kanda had equalised for ZESCO.

There was a first win of the season for bottom side Nkana FC as they secured a 1-0 success at Prison Leopards, the crucial goal coming from Harrison Chisala on 36 minutes.

They move off the foot of the table into second bottom but are now just two points from safety. It was also just a second clean sheet of the campaign so far.

Third-placed FC MUZA were also held to a draw at NAPSA Stars despite taking the lead through Andrew Phiri. Adams Zikiru equalised shortly afterwards for Stars.

Mathews Mashimikilo scored a brace as Nkwazi defeated Mutondo Stars 2-0, while Green Eagles and Trident played to a 2-2 draw.

Joseph Mumbi and Walaza Tembo had strugglers Trident 2-0 up, but they could not hold on as Christopher Zulu and Derrick Bulaya scored second half goals for Green Eagles.

Finally, Lazarous Chishimba’s early goal for Forest Rangers was cancelled out by Clive Biyeta’s strike for Mufulira Wanderers as those two teams played to a 1-1 draw.
