With Orbit College suffering another defeat in the Motsepe Foundation Championship this weekend, JDR Stars, Magesi and Baroka made sure to close the gap at the top of the pile.

Orbit College suffered a 1-0 defeat against a resurgent Baroka FC at Oympia Park Stadium on Saturday afternoon, as the log leaders lost ground at the top of the pile.

After bagging three victories on the trot, Baroka trail Orbit by just two points and currently occupy fourth spot on the table.

Also, JDR Stars and Casric Stars played to an exciting 2-2 draw at the Soshanguve Giant Stadium on Friday. JDR Stars have now jotted down two consecutive stalemates in the Motsepe Foundation Championship but remained in second place on the table, one point behind Orbit College.

Magesi returned to winning ways in the league this week, following a convincing 3-1 win over Hungry Lions at the Windhoek Draught Park on Saturday.

The victory saw Magesi move within a point of Orbit College at the summit of the log, while Hungry Lions suffered a second successive defeat in the league.
