Baroka FC's woes in the Motsepe Foundation Championship worsened as Orbit College extended their winning run to four matches.

A 3-2 defeat to log leaders Milford at the Global Stadium on Saturday saw Baroka slip down to the 14th spot in the standings and it was Bakgakga Ba Mphahlele's third defeat in a row.

At the Thohoyandou Stadium, an in-form Orbit College side brushed aside rock-bottom Venda on Saturday as they claimed a 2-0 victory which saw them placed fourth.

Meanwhile, JDR Stars boosted their promotion ambitions by defeating Pretoria Callies 1-0 in the Tshwane Derby encounter at the Giant Stadium and they are occupying the third spot.

The action continued on Sunday as Black Leopards secured a 2-1 victory over Cape Town Spurs at the Athlone Stadium and the victory elevated Lidoda Duvha to the second spot - three points behind Milford.

Kruger United moved further away from the relegation zone after thumping Leruma United 4-1 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium which saw the second-tier newcomers move up to ninth place.
