Table toppers clash in Motsepe Foundation Championship

In the latest round of Motsepe Foundation Championship fixtures, clubs such as Hungry Lions, Casric Stars and Polokwane City look to march on in their pursuit of PSL promotion.

As one of the feature games of the weekend, the high flying Casric Stars will visit Hungry Lions at the Windhoek Draught Park on Saturday afternoon.

In second place on the table, Casric stars have won each of their last five league games. In third spot, Hungry Lions have showcased inconsistent form of late, recording two wins, two losses and the single draw in their last handful of games.

MM Platinum will host All Stars at the Bidvest Stadium as they look to overturn their recent run of three straight defeats in the league.

As for the visitors, All Stars are currently fifth on the log and amassed 23 points from 14 matches.

Elsewhere, table-topping Polokwane City will make their way to the Global Stadium in taking on Baroka FC. As the log leaders, Polokwane City currently have 30 points from 14 games, while Baroka go into the tie with a form sheet of win one, one draw and three losses in their last five encounters.

On Sunday, both Black Leopards and Uthongathi will seek to get back to winning ways at the Malamulele Stadium, following their string of back-to-back draws.

As one of the most in-form teams in the division at the moment, JDR Stars will welcome TTM to the Thohoyandou Stadium, with the latter currently on a three-match losing streak.

Over in the Mother City, Cape Town Spurs will take on Magesi at the Athlone Stadium, as Shaun Bartlett’s troops seek to bounce back following their 1-0 loss to Casric Stars in their most recent tie.

Also heading into the fixture on the back of a defeat, Magesi will eye a-top half finish to the weekend and currently sit in 9th spot after 14 games played in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
