Leonardo Castro believes a return to form is long overdue as he targets success in Kaizer Chiefs’ Nedbank Cup last 32 clash with TS Galaxy on Saturday.
The Colombian forward has missed a chunk of this season with injury but is now back to full fitness and hoping to help the AmaKhosi fire in the second half of the campaign.
His last goal for the side was back in May when they lost 2-1 to relegated Black Leopards, but is ready to make up for lost time.
"I want to celebrate. I want to do my celebrations and show that I still have the hunger and the desire to play and to win for Kaizer Chiefs,” Castro said.
"The Nedbank Cup is an important tournament for us. We take each and every tournament seriously and we have to [approach] it in the right way, starting on the weekend. We have to give our all and continue into the next round.
"They [TS Galaxy] have quite a good team. We all know that when each and every team from the PSL comes to play Kaizer Chiefs, they give their lives, so for us, it is important to focus on where we are and where we want to be."
Galaxy, who were a second-tier side at the time, stunned Chiefs with a 1-0 win in the 2019 Nedbank Cup final.
