Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef has stressed the importance of getting back on the winning trail against Sekhukhune United at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday, May 10.
Kick-off is at 5.30pm CAT (SA, GMT+2).
Current form:
Amakhosi have only picked up three points out of a possible 12 since they beat Magesi 4-1 on April 15 to strengthen their bid for Caf Confederation Cup football.
Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze's side held Betway Premiership leaders Mamelodi Sundowns to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday, May 6 as they bounced back from a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Siwelele 10 days earlier.
The stalemate in Pretoria left the Glamour Boys without a win in their last four games, although they still have a five-point buffer to AmaZulu in third place.
But Ben Youssef wants Chiefs to finish the season strongly to deny Usuthu the chance to haul them in, with the two teams due to lock horns on May 16.
Babina Noko could also mathematically catch the Soweto giants, who are only six points ahead of them with nine left to play for.
Paulus Masehe recorded the first win of his tenure since replacing Eric Tinkler at the helm last month after his side ran out 3-1 victors over Chippa United in midweek.
Masehe had overseen a 3-1 loss to Stellenbosch and a 1-1 draw with Marumo Gallants prior to the trip to East London.
What was said
Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef:
"We are always thinking about ourselves, about our performances. Every training session and at our meetings, I said the same thing because if this team performs very well, no-one can stop us in the league.
"The process is there. There is a big difference this season from last term. The results are there. We have three games [remaining] and we have to fight for maximum points."

Players to watch:
Sekhukhune United - Bright Ndlovu is hitting a purple patch at just the right time for the Limpopo outfit as they look to put pressure on Chiefs. The 25-year-old defender-cum-striker went without a goal in his opening 18 appearances since making the switch from Kruger United in July 2025, but has now found the back of the net in four of his last five outings, including the win against the Chilli Boys.
Kaizer Chiefs - Flavio Silva continues to impress for Amakhosi following his move from Persebaya in the off-season and could yet reach double figures in the league. The 30-year-old striker from Guinea-Bissau opened the scoring against the Brazilians earlier this week to take his tally for the campaign to eight goals, making him the club's top scorer in his debut season.
