Relebohile Mofokeng scored his second league goal on Wednesday as Union Saint Gilloise won 3-0 away at Sint-Truiden to move to second in the standings with 10 points from their opening four games of the new season.
Mofokeng also started a league match for the first time since arriving from Orlando Pirates and repaid the faith of coach David Hubert.
Union enjoyed a surprisingly comfortable evening, opening the scoring after 22 minutes through former Sint-Truiden player Louis Patris and adding a second 10 minutes into the second half as Argentine defender Kevin Mac Allister headed home from a free kick.

In the 63rd minute, Union launched an attack that almost danced from foot to foot across the artificial turf. One-touch football through several players, with Mofokeng at the end of the move. The South African placed the ball into the far corner and celebrated his first start with a broad smile.
The 21-year-old Mofokeng had previously scored a 5-1 away at Westerlo in early August when he came on as a substitute for his debut in Union’s first game of the new league season.
He has since had two more sub appearances in Belgian league action, one each plus in the Champions League and Super Cup, where he tucked away the decisive kick in the post-match penalty shootout for his team, to take the first trophy of the season.
