The top of the table clash in the Betway Premiership between Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns later this month has been moved from Orlando Stadium to Soccer City.
The clash on Wednesday, March 18, which many view as potential title decider, between the top two sides in the standings is expected to be a sold out affair and officials have decided that Pirates’ home ground will be too small to accommodate all those who want tickets.
Instead, it will now be played at Soccer City where the capacity of 95 000 is more than double the 37 000 places at Orlando Stadium.
Pirates are three points ahead of Sundowns at the halfway point of the league campaign and can extend their lead to six on Saturday when they host Marumo Gallants in Soweto (live on SuperSport, 3.30pm kick off).
Sundowns are playing in their las group game in the African Champions League on Saturday.
