Richards Bay will be looking to keep the pressure on the DStv Premiership leaders when they take on Chippa United at the Bidvest Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Kick-off is at 3.30pm CAT (SA, GMT+2).
The Natal Rich Boyz are the closest challengers to Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of the World Cup break, with three points separating the two clubs at the top of the table.
This weekend sees the final round of fixtures before the domestic season goes on an extended hiatus due to the 2022 World Cup, which takes place in Qatar from November 20 to December 18.
Pitso Dladla's side weren't in action last weekend, having beaten Cape Town City 1-0 in Durban most recently to go seven games unbeaten in the top flight.
It was their first win in three outings following back-to-back goalless draws against Orlando Pirates and Maritzburg United earlier this month.
Richards Bay general manager James Dlamini insists their main objective hasn't changed despite an impressive start to life in the top tier of South African football.
"We know the difficulties of our league. We took the same mentality to say let's collect as much as possible in the first round because we know the second round is very difficult," Dlamini said.
"We are not saying we are going to lose form but this is football and things change every time. The chairman's mandate was very simple when we started, to keep the [PSL] status of the team."
The Chilli Boys have experienced a revival in fortunes under Morgan Mammila, who guided them to a club-record four straight wins in the league since replacing Daine Klate at the helm in September.
Mammila suffered his first defeat in midweek with a 2-1 loss to the Citizens and he'll be determined to bounce back against the National First Division champions.
Mammila felt his players didn't rotate the ball enough to exploit the spaces out wide left by City's two marauding full-backs, but insists they won't make that mistake again.
"We'll rectify the mistakes and move on to [the next game against] Richards Bay, a good team, they rely on transition but I think we've got a plan for them," he said.
"We need to control the game and also I'm happy because we are a team that has scored five games in a row so scoring is not our problem. We must only deal with our defence more."
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Chippa United
Siphelele Luthuli: Like his team-mates, the 27-year-old midfielder didn't have the best of games against City, although he did mange to set up Ronaldo Maarman for the opener in the first half. Luthuli now sits second in the assist charts with four, while he has also contributed one goal from his 11 league appearances.
Ronald Pfumbidzai: Mammila spoke of improving defensively and he'll be looking to the likes of Pfumbidzai to help shore up the backline. The 27-year-old Zimbabwean defender made a crucial interception to prevent Luke Daniels from converting Darwin Gonzalez's cross in the first half with Chippa 1-0 up at the time.
Richards Bay
Jamal Salim: The 27-year-old Ugandan goalkeeper has been outstanding for the Natal Rich Boyz this season, keeping nine clean sheets and conceding just three goals in 12 appearances. Salim pulled off a string of saves to keep the Citizens at bay last time out and he could be in for another busy afternoon against the Chilli Boys.
Luvuyo Memela: The 35-year-old forward has yet to get off the mark for his new employers but he isn't afraid to shoot and drew a fine save out of Darren Keet in the second half. Memela has struck up a good partnership with Sanele Barns on the right and they'll be looking to combine to good effect against Chippa this weekend.
