The Soweto Derby headlines the DStv Premiership action this weekend as Orlando Pirates host Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
It is a huge game for both clubs, with plenty of pressure placed on the coaches and players in the build-up this week.
Here is what they had to say ahead of the biggest game in South African football.
JOSE RIVEIRO (ORLANDO PIRATES COACH)
“The points are very important, we need the points. We want to end the first half of the season as high as possible and for that to happen we need to collect three points.
“The occasion is what it is, the Derby is always going to be a special game. But at the end of the day, it is about three points.
“It is going to be special. But like I have said before, we should be having more points and now we have an opportunity (for three more). It will be boost for our mood, the future and all other things.
"We would really love to finish this first part of the season with three more points that are going to keep us in a good position for the second part of the season.”
INNOCENT MAELA (ORLANDO PIRATES DEFENDER)
“We cannot think about that anymore (the 3-0 MTN8 semifinal win over Mamelodi Sundowns last weekend). For us players, every match we play is important. We must make sure that we give everything each and every day to make sure we do what we have to in matches.
"Every day we get into training we think about the next match and make sure we train as hard as we can.
"It is a big occasion for the fans, but for me personally, I have to perform in every game I play. It is not like I am going to do anything different because it is the Soweto Derby.
"The pressure is always there when you play for a big team like Pirates. Not only for me but for everyone else. We are there to support each other."
ARTHUR ZWANE (KAIZER CHIEFS COACH)
“We are looking forward to a difficult game because someone said that Pirates are oozing confidence. They have been winning games and are also in the final of MTN8.
“But when Chiefs and Pirates meet, previous form counts for nothing. What matters most is on the day of the game as to who is going to be in charge of the game, who’s going to dictate terms, who’s going to take goal-scoring opportunities that will be created. So, it’s all about that.”
KEAGAN DOLLY (KAIZER CHIEFS MIDFIELDER)
“We are analysing our opposition and we know Pirates are a good team. They have got confidence and some of their individuals are doing well by scoring goals and creating chances for them.
“But I think it’s about the 11 players on the field and we are analysing with an aim to see where we can hurt them.
“We will try to block wherever they are strong. That’s all we can do for now, prepare well for the game and try to deliver on the day.”
