The Hollywoodbets COSAFA Women’s Championship is set to return with another exciting edition, scheduled to take place in Polokwane, South Africa, from 18 February to 1 March. The tournament brings together the region’s top women’s national teams as they battle for Southern African supremacy.
The group stage matches will be played at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium and Seshego Stadium, while the business end of the tournament will move to the New Peter Mokaba Stadium, which will host the semifinals, third and fourth place play-off, and the final.
First played in 2002, the COSAFA Women’s Championship has grown into one of the most important platforms for women’s football development in the region. Zambia head into the tournament as the defending champions after edging South Africa 4–3 on penalties following a 0–0 draw in the final of the 2024 edition, which was staged in Gqeberha.
South Africa remains the most successful nation in the competition’s history, having lifted the trophy a record seven times. The only other teams to have won the championship are Zambia (2022, 2024), Zimbabwe (2011), Tanzania as an East African guest nation (2021), and Malawi (2023).
All matches will be broadcast live on FIFA+ and COSAFA’s YouTube channel, ensuring fans across the continent and beyond can follow the action.
