Kaizer Chiefs will look to put more pressure on the top of the Betway Premiership table as they face Marumo Gallants at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein on Wednesday.
Kick-off is at 7:30pm CAT.
CURRENT FORM
Marumo Gallants have not started 2026 on a high note, falling to TS Galaxy 2-0 in Polokwane on Wednesday.
Bahlabane Ba Ntwa have not won any of their last five Betway Premiership fixtures, registering three losses and two draws. Their biggest achievement of the season came before the international break, where the Bloemfontein-based side lost the Carling Knockout final to Orlando Pirates.
They sit 12th on the standings with 15 points from 15 games and will be looking to put distance themselves and the relegation zone.
Kaizer Chiefs restarted the 2025/26 league campaign with a 1-0 win over Lamontville Golden Arrows at home on Tuesday and have continued their good form. Chiefs claimed a 1-0 victory over ZESCO United in their CAF Confederation Cup clash in Ndola, Zambia on Sunday.
AmaKhosi remain undefeated in the Betway Premiership since their 3-1 loss to Sekhukhune in September.
They sit third on the table, having overtaken Sekhukhune, with 27 points from 14 games. The Phefeni Glamour Boys have only lost one league game this season and will be looking to edge closer to Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns in the title race.
WHAT WAS SAID
Following their CAF Confederation Cup victory over ZESCO United on Sunday, Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef stated that squad rotation would be key for his squad with their demanding schedule.
“We know this month is so busy for us, every two days or three days we have a game. We'll play 11 games in 48 days so we will need all the squad,” said Ben Youssef.
“We have big squads so we can make rotation also and we can allow for the other players to take rest.”
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Marumo Gallants - Jaisen Clifford will be looking to add a fourth goal to his league tally for the season. The winger has been a lethal weapon off the bench for Bahlabane Ba Ntwa this season and leads his team in goals scored in the league.
Kaizer Chiefs - Flávio Silva got off to a hot start at AmaKhosi and has bagged four goals in eight league games since joining the club, averaging a goal every two games. After missing out against Golden Arrows, the Portuguese striker is due to get his name back on the scoresheet.
