Kaizer Chiefs are in the driver's seat to qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup after they cruised to a 4-1 victory over rock-bottom Magesi at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Wednesday night
First-half goals from Flavio Silva and Wandile Duba put Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze's side in command before Mduduzi Shabalala added a third early in the second half and Khanyisa Mayo rounded off the scoring in the closing stages.
Diteboho Mofokeng's 69th-minute reply proved nothing but a consolation for Dikwena tsa Meetse, who remain rooted to the foot of the Betway Premiership table after losing for the third time in four matches.
Amakhosi made it five wins on the spin to go six points clear of AmaZulu in third position with a game in hand.

The visitors threatened as early as the second minute when Shabalala had a sight at goal but missed the target from range, although they had to wait until the 33rd minute to break the deadlock after Silva took a neat first touch on the ball and turned his marker before firing home.
The touch. The swivel. The finish 🤌

Chiefs doubled their lead just five minutes later as Duba capitalised on sloppy goalkeeping from Elvis Chipezeze to slot home from close range and they were cruising at the break.
The Glamour Boys continued to ask questions of Magesi in the second half and Thabiso Monyane forced Chipezeze into a save with a shot on the hour mark before Shabalala put the game to bed three minutes later with a composed finish after latching onto Reeve Frosler's cutback inside the box.
There would be no clean sheet for Brandon Peterson, however, as the hosts pulled one back on 69 minutes from the head of Mofokeng, who arrived unmarked at the back post to convert Mcedi Vandala's cross.
Mayo, Glody Lilepo and Mfundo Vilakazi all had chances to restore Chiefs' three-goal cushion in the closing stages, but all three of them failed to keep the respective efforts down.
Mayo would seal the win with seven minutes remaining though, as he got on the end of Frosler's pin-point cross to head the ball beyond Chipezeze at his near post.
