There are matches across Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in Spanish football’s top flight.
Following a brief pause in LaLiga EA SPORTS action over the weekend, when the Copa del Rey final took centre stage, there is a midweek matchday to enjoy this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. With just a few weeks remaining in the season, every point is extra valuable and there is so much at stake.
The first couple of games kick off at 7pm CEST on Tuesday and these are two matches between clubs very close together in the table. One of them pits 15th-placed RCD Mallorca (on 34 points) against 14th-placed Valencia CF (on 35 points), a crucial clash in the relegation battle as both sides look to pull away from the bottom three.
The other fixture at this same time slot sees 11th-placed Athletic Club (38 points) host ninth-placed CA Osasuna (39 points), and it should also be a very competitive duel given how close together they are in the standings.
At 9:30pm CEST on Tuesday, there is another double header. Real Madrid v Deportivo Alavés is one of the games which will capture attention, as Los Blancos look to keep their increasingly faint title hopes alive. Having failed to win any of their past four matches across all competitions, the pressure is on Álvaro Arbeloa and his squad.

At that same time, Girona FC and Real Betis meet in Catalonia. The home side are in mid-table, a significant distance away from the relegation spots and from the European berths. But, Real Betis have a lot still to play for.
If Spain earns a fifth Champions League spot this season, then Los Verdiblancos would be the side currently set to benefit. However, they have challengers breathing down their necks and need to put some more points on the board.
In the first of Wednesday’s matches, Atlético de Madrid return to league action following their disappointment in the Copa del Rey final. They travel to take on an Elche CF side currently inside the relegation zone and ready to give their all. Diego Simeone’s side will hope to return to winning ways, but it won’t be easy at the Estadio Martínez Valero.

Later on Wednesday evening, cup winners Real Sociedad are back in action and it promises to be a special homecoming as they play in front of their own supporters in San Sebastián, taking on Getafe CF. The visitors, who still have hopes of European qualification, will be determined to put a damper on the celebrations.
Then, at 9:30pm CEST on Wednesday, league leaders FC Barcelona are back in action, hosting RC Celta at the Spotify Camp Nou. By the time of kick-off, they’ll already know the result from Real Madrid’s Tuesday night game, but will want the three points in any case to try to mathematically clinch the championship as quickly as possible.

Three more fixtures follow on Thursday, starting with a big one in the relegation battle as 19th-placed Levante UD (29 points) host 16th-placed Sevilla FC (34 points). If the Valencian side are to climb out of the bottom three and earn themselves another season of LaLiga EA SPORTS football, this is a game they really need to win.
Rayo Vallecano and RCD Espanyol face off in more of a mid-table clash next, with Los Franjirrojos hoping to continue their Thursday night heroics of late, to confirm survival quickly and to build momentum ahead of their upcoming Conference League semifinal tie.
Then, the final fixture of the round sees Real Oviedo host Villarreal CF, a special game for Santi Cazorla as the two Spanish clubs so close to his heart battle for very different objectives. The Asturian outfit
are hoping to give themselves a chance at pulling off a miraculous escape from the relegation zone, while El Submarino Amarillo know that they could clinch Champions League football very soon.
