Kaizer Chiefs claimed their third successive win in the CAF Confederation Cup Group D when they overcame Al Masry 2-1 at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The win saw Amakhosi climb to the top of the group standings and they will advance to the quarterfinals if they avoid a defeat against Zamalek in their last Group D fixture next weekend.

Co-coaches Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef will fine-tune the team for the crucial away match against Zamalek in the coming week.
The Green Eagles, on the other hand, slipped down to the third spot after recording their second consecutive defeat in Group D.
However, coach Nabil Kouki's side will progress to the quarterfinals if they overcome ZESCO United at home next weekend and the result between Chiefs and Zamalek goes their way.
Although the Green Eagles started the match brightly, Amakhosi finished the first half the stronger of the two teams.
Al Masry captain Ahmed Mansour was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box and the resultant penalty was converted by Flavio Da Silva to make it two goals in as many matches, and Chiefs were 1-0 up at the interval.

A more entertaining half followed as the visitors levelled matters in the 57th minute. Hassan Ali delivered a delightful cross, which found Abderrahim Deghmoum, who hit the back of the net to make it 1-1, stunning the Amakhosi fans inside the 2010 FIFA World Cup venue into silence.
However, the goal did not deter the hosts as they surged forward in numbers and they got a free-kick in the Green Eagles' half.
Zitha Kwinika's header from the set-piece was saved by goalkeeper Mohamed Hamdy and Aden McCarthy fired home from the rebound to seal Chiefs' 2-1 win on the hour-mark.
What a response from Amakhosi ✌️
