Doornkop Students beat Makgaola Academy 1-0 in the 2nd leg of the Philly’s games at the Phomolong sports ground in Tembisa on Tuesday, but that wasn’t enough to move on to the next round.

The Limpopo side had won the 1st leg 2-0, which meant the Students needed to win by three clear goals, but unfortunately it wasn’t their day.

Isithembiso continued where they left off in the 1st leg as they beat Phanda Phanda 3-1 to run away 6-2 winners on aggregate and move on to the last eight.

The biggest talking point of the game was when Isithembiso's players all fell to the ground like dominoes to allow their opponents to take the ball and score.

The move left social media abuzz with mixed feeling’s; some found it funny, some had never seen something like that before, while others called it an insult to football….

It was then Jonet 015 FC’s turn against Destroyers FC, who came into the game with a 1-0 aggregate lead. Two goals in the second half saw Destroyers march on to the quarterfinals.

In the final game of the day Gwara-Gwara played to a 1-1 draw with Boko Futhi after the 1st leg ended in a 2-2 draw.

After 180 minutes of football, it was only a penalty shootout that could separate the two sides and in the end Futhi won 4-2 on penalties to progress.

In tomorrow's games defending champions Ambassador’s FC take on One Lion at 10am, Rebels play against Ama BEE at noon, Boko Futhi square off against Destroyers at 2pm and and in the final game of the day Makgaola Academy face Isithembiso.

All matches will be live on SuperSport channel 202 and 209.
