One Lion are still on track to defend their title after they shared the spoils with Amandla in a goalless draw in the 32nd edition of the Philly's Games on Wednesday.

Last year's winners went into the game at the Phomolong Sports Ground in Tembisa with a one-goal advantage against Amandla after winning the first leg 1-0.

Even the presence of Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi on the bench for Amandla wasn’t enough to spur the boys on to greater heights as One Lion moved on to the last eight.

In the mid-day clash, Destroyers were hoping to overcome their 2-0 first-leg defeat to The Hot B Team, but it wasn't to be as the latter scored in the second half to win 1-0 and progress to the quarterfinals 3-0 on aggregate.

Meanwhile, Abarondoli won a five-goal thriller against Ama BEE 3-2 to progress to the quarterfinals 4-3 on aggregate.

In the final game of the day, Skepe Nketole took on Limpopo side Makgaola Academy.

The 'Helicopter Boys' absorbed most of the pressure in the game.

Makgaola only managed to score one goal in the first half and failed to convert their other chances.

In the end their 1-0 victory wasn’t enough, as Skepe took the overall spoils 2-1 on aggregate.

Skepe qualified for the quarterfinals for the first time in the last eight editions of the tournament and will face Abarondoli on Saturday.

First up though on Thursday Mambas FC face Futhi Futhi at 10am, Rebels take on Musa United at noon and Isithembiso lock horns with Mudagasi at 2pm.

In the final game of the day Gomora United square off against Ambassadors FC.
