Chippa have not won any of their 10 home games this season (D7 L3) and will be desperate to claim a major scalp, not least to ease their relegation woes.
Chiefs lost 1-0 at home to Lamontville Golden Arrows in their last match, a huge set-back in their bid for second place this season, but Ngcobo is confident they will bounce back.
“As a team we did well to prepare for this game,” he said. “We are going to Port Elizabeth [Gqeberha] needing maximum points and whatever we are doing will lead us to that.
“I think we are mentally and physically ready because we know they will give us a hard time. They also need the three points, especially when you check where they are on the standings.” Ngcobo has had to adapt to a defensive midfield role this campaign having been named the best defender in the league last season while at Swallows. He admits it is a work in progress.
“I think I am just a player who is working hard, especially learning a new position,” he said. “I am doing OK for now, even though there is still room for improvement. I am just a hard-working player.”
