Real Madrid goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga suffered an adductor muscle injury warming up for the Champions League game against Braga, which could keep him out for around three weeks.

Kepa underwent medical tests on Thursday which revealed a small tear in the adductor in his right leg. He is due to undergo an MRI scan on Friday.

The keeper, who is on loan from Chelsea, felt some discomfort in the warm-up before the Champions League match against Braga on Wednesday.

He was replaced by Ukrainian Andriy Lunin who kept a clean sheet as Real won 3-0 to qualify for the last 16 of the continental competition.

Kepa could be out for two to three weeks, Real Madrid sources told AFP on Thursday.

He will miss Saturday's league game against Valencia at the Santiago Bernabeu and will also miss Spain's upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers in Cyprus on 16 November and at home to Georgia on 19 November.

Real lost No 1 goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to a knee injury at the start of the season.
