Laliga enters Matchweek 29 with the Barcelona and Atletico Madrid match headlining what promises to be an epic weekend.

Real Sociedad v Cádiz CF

Real Sociedad have not lost any of their last nine matches against Cádiz in LaLiga (W6 D3), although they have drawn the last two 0-0. Only against Athletic Club between 1994 and 1995 did the San Sebastian side record three consecutive goalless draws in the history of the competition.

Cádiz have not scored in any of their last five matches against Real Sociedad in LaLiga (D2 L3) and, should they fail to score, they will suffer the worst run without a goal against a single opponent in their history in the top-flight.

Mallorca v Granada CF

Mallorca have won just one of their six home games against Granada in LaLiga (D1 L4) and that was in their first meeting on the island: 1-0 in March 1961.

Granada have won each of their last five LaLiga meetings with Mallorca, their best run of consecutive wins against a single top-flight opponent, along with a five-match winning streak against Elche between 1961 and 1969.

Osasuna v Real Madrid CF

Osasuna have not won any of their last 17 meetings with Real Madrid in LaLiga (D5 L12), since a 1-0 win in January 2011 with José Antonio Camacho and José Mourinho on both benches, their worst winless run against a single opponent in the top-flight.

Real Madrid have not lost on any of their last eight visits to El Sadar in LaLiga (W5 D3), their best away unbeaten run against Osasuna in the competition's history.

Real Madrid have won their last two LaLiga games against Osasuna, keeping clean sheets in both. Never in the history of the competition Real Madrid have won three straight matches without conceding against Osasuna.

Getafe v Girona

Getafe have lost two of their last three games against Girona in LaLiga (W1), having lost just one of their first four against them in the competition (W1 D2). At home, Getafe have won three of their five games in all competitions against Girona (D1 L1), avoiding defeat in their three home games in LaLiga against the Catalans (W2 D1).

Girona have won on just one of their last eight visits to teams from Comunidad de Madrid in LaLiga (D2 L5), having won each of the previous three.

Athletic Club v Deportivo Alavés

Athletic have not lost any of their last four matches against Alavés in LaLiga (W2 D2), keeping a clean sheet in all four, and they have never kept a clean sheet in 5+ in a row against them in the competition.

After winning each of their first 10 LaLiga home games against Alavés, Athletic have only won three of their following seven at home against them in the top-flight (D3 L1).

Sevilla v Celta de Vigo

Sevilla are enjoying their best unbeaten run against Celta de Vigo in their LaLiga history (G7 W3 D4), although they have drawn the last four. Sevilla have never drawn five in a row against a single opponent in the top-flight.

Celta de Vigo have drawn three of their last four visits to Sevilla in LaLiga (L1), having lost seven of their previous nine away games against them in the competition (W2).

Las Palmas v Almería

Las Palmas have lost just one of their last six matches against Almería in all competitions (W3 D2), 1-3 in Segunda Division in February 2021, having lost four of their previous six to the Almería side (D2). At home, Las Palmas have won just one of their last eight meetings against Almería in all competitions (D4 L3), 2-0 in Segunda División in October 2020.

Las Palmas have not won any of their last four LaLiga matches (D2 L2) and could equal their longest winless streak in the current campaign, having failed to win in their first five this season (D2 L3).

Villarreal v Valencia

Villarreal have lost just one of their last four games against Valencia in LaLiga (W2 D1), 1-3 in the reverse fixture this season, and have never lost both meetings in a single campaign against them in the competition.

At home, Villarreal have not lost any of their last six games against Valencia in LaLiga (W5 D1), winning the last four and scoring exactly two goals in each of those four wins – this is their longest home winning streak against them in the top-flight.

Rayo Vallecano v Real Betis Balompié

Rayo Vallecano have not won any of their last nine LaLiga games against Real Betis (D3 L6); this after not losing any of their previous nine against Los Verdiblancos in the competition (W6 D3).

At home, Rayo Vallecano have lost two of their last four games against Real Betis in LaLiga (D2), after not lost any of their previous five at home to the Andalusians in the top-flight (W3 D2).

Atlético Madrid v Barcelona

Atlético de Madrid have lost their last four games against Barcelona in LaLiga, all during Xavi Hernandez's time in charge, while they have never lost five in a row in the competition against the Catalans under Diego Simeone. At home, Atlético de Madrid have won two of their last three LaLiga games against Barcelona (L1), having failed to win any of their previous 10 (D3 L7).

Barcelona have only lost in two of their last eight visits to teams from the Madrid region in LaLiga (W2 D4), all of which have been under Xavi Hernández, having lost in each of their previous six beforehand.

Atlético de Madrid have now suffered seven defeats after their first 28 games in LaLiga 2023/24 (W17 D4), equalling their highest tally at this stage of a campaign in the competition under Diego Simeone (W15 D6 L7 in 2021/22).

Barcelona have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three LaLiga matches, their best run in the competition since April 2023 (four).

Barcelona have scored 41 goals in the second half of their games in LaLiga 2023/24, the most for any side in the competition. They have also won the most points with goals scored in the last 20 minutes of the game (27).

Barcelona's Lamine Yamal has been involved in four of Barcelona's last 10 LaLiga goals (three goals and an assist), registering two assists in his last four away games in the competition.

Ángel Correa has scored three of Atlético de Madrid's last six goals in LaLiga (excluding own goals) – indeed, he has been involved in four goals in his last three games in the competition (three goals and one assist).

Atlético de Madrid coach Diego Pablo Simeone has lost 15 of his 24 games against Barcelona in LaLiga (W2 D7), suffering at least six more defeats than against any other opponent in the competition (G25 W6 D10 L9 v Real Madrid).

Barcelona coach Xavi Hernández has won all four games he has managed against Atlético de Madrid in LaLiga, his joint-best 100 per cent record against an opponent (also 4/4 v Elche).
