After making 10 changes to their line-up for their last match at the European Championship, Spain restored their first choices to the team for Sunday’s last-16 clash against Georgia at the Cologne Stadium.

The only uncertainty before the match was who would form the centre-back pairing, with coach Luis de la Fuente selecting Robin Le Normand and Aymeric Laporte in the heart of defence and leaving veteran Nacho on the bench.

Georgia remain unchanged from their shock 2-0 win over Portugal in the group phase which allowed the tournament debutants to progress past the first round.

Spain: Unai Simon; Dani Carvajal, Robin Le Normand, Aymeric Laporte, Marc Cucurella; Fabian Ruiz, Rodri, Pedri; Lamine Yamal, Alvaro Morata (c), Nico Williams

Georgia: Giorgi Mamardashvili; Otar Kakabadze, Giorgi Gvelesiani, Guram Kashia (c), Luka Lochoshvili, Lasha Dvali; Giorgi Kochorashvili, Giorgi Chakvetadze, Otar Kiteishvili; Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Georges Mikautadze.
