Orlando Pirates missed a chance to reclaim top spot on the log when they were held to a goalless draw by Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday afternoon at Wits Stadium.
A lot was expected in the derby but little was delivered as both teams couldn't find the back of the net.
Swallows 0-1 Mamelodi Sundowns
Mamelodi Sundowns got back to winning ways after beating Swallows 1-0 on Sunday morning at Dobsonville Stadium.
Sundowns remain in seventh spot on the log with 38 points while the Birds, who lost their second match in a row, remain in position 14 in the log.
SuperSport United 3-2 Sekhukhune United
SuperSport United edged Asekhukhune United in a five-goal thriller at Wits Stadium. The victory kept SuperSport's chances of winning the title alive. Thapelo Maseko scored a brace for Matsatsantsa and the other goal came from Caleb Acontuur in the dying minutes of the match.
Sozabile Dlamini and Nkululeko Hlongo scored for Babina Noko.
AmaZulu 0-1 Maritzburg United
Maritzburg United edged out AmaZulu 1-0 in the KwaZulu-Natal derby on Sunday.
Kamvalethu Cele scored the only goal of the match just before the halftime break and that proved to be the winner.
This was Maritzburg second victory on the trot.
Chippa United 0-1 TS Galaxy
TS Galaxy leapfrogged Chippa United in fourth place on the log after a narrow 1-0 win on Saturday morning at Wolfson Stadium. The Rockets have now put themselves in a good position to challenge for the title with six games remaining.
Mike Sebelebele scored the goal which proved to be enough to earn the Rockets maximum points.
Cape Town City 0-0 Golden Arrows
The Citizens were held to a goalless draw, Arrows have not had a good season as they remain in position 13 with 27 points in as many as 24 matches of the season. At this rate, it looks like the two-time champions will miss out in the top right.
Marumo Gallants 1-0 Baroka
Marumo Gallants registered a rare victory defeating Baroka FC. It was Gallants fourth win of the season. Despite collecting maximum points, the Limpopo based club remains at the bottom of the log with 16 points from 24 matches.
