SuperSport United’s new signee Thulani Hlatshwayo said he had other offers, in and out of the province, after being released by Orlando Pirates last month.
Tyson also said he is happy to rejoin coach Gavin Hunt, who was announced as the club’s coach.
The 32-year-old said Hunt has given him a new lease on life after a tough six months on the sidelines at his previous club.
Hunt and Hlatshwayo were together at Wits and have silverware together as coach and player.
Hlatshwayo said that as soon as he found out Hunt was coming to Matsatsantsa, he knew what he had to do, considering that his family is also around.
Tyson was once a permanent feature in the national team setup as Bafana Bafana Captain.
While he said he has to fight for place in the starting line-up, hopefully he can regain the confidence that made him a beast at Wits.
The central defender believes he can still play for Bafana in the future.
