Newly appointed Bafana Bafana head coach Molefi Ntseki addressed the media for the first time in his new position on Monday and called for support as he looks to lead the country into a new era on a mission to see Vision 2022 come full circle.

Speaking to the media in his new position as the head coach in Johannesburg, Ntseki laid out his hopes and aspirations at the helm of the national team.

"I am very happy to get the green jersey. We all know and understand what green means, it projects a very positive future and I am very happy today that I got this jersey today, and the future looks green," Ntseki said.

"It's not going to be easy but all that is important is the rapport that I have established with the PSL coaches to keep in touch and be able to help each other. The best thing we can do for our football is to profile every player that qualifies to play for Bafana Bafana team and that’s what we call auditing of players," added Ntseki.

"We started that with coach Stuart and when he left I had all that information, the full database and going forward we would like to have a video analyst who will be helping us with the profiling of players so that when we have a challenge when it comes to team selection we can always tap into that database.

"We would be able to know how many games or minutes has Keagan Dolly played for his club and in terms of injuries. When he is not playing, why is he not playing because most of the time we call up names without knowing their progression where there are playing,” continued Ntseki.

"I think it would really help going forward to have a scouting and selection team. We've seen it happen in cricket and rugby."

For this camp, he has appointed former Bafana Bafana head coach Trott Moloto as his technical advisor, while Kaizer Chiefs MDC head coach Arthur Zwane will be the assistant coach.

"I believe it's not about me, it's about the collective and that is why I have started engaging the PSL coaches. I felt we need to have a scouting and selection team, something that we have seen work well for rugby and cricket," the Bafana coach said.

"So I have asked Sundowns to release coach Trott Moloto who will be coming in as a technical advisor. He will be coming in as a mentor because of his vast experience with national teams and I have a very good relationship with him. So coach Moloto will be coming in as the voice of reason in the team and someone that can help us manage our players better," he said.

"Coach Arthur Zwane has been around, gone through the coaching course. He has been on the Kaizer Chiefs and most importantly played for Bafana Bafana. I always look at him as one of the hard-working coaches in the country so I felt here is an opportunity to work with him and see how best we can take the team forward.

"The goalkeeper coach will remain Andre Arendse. Our fitness Joshua Smith has a position at AmaZulu that doesn’t allow him to leave the high-performance centre so I have opted to take Kabelo Rangoaga whom I think has vast experience working at the highest level," added Ntseki.

Their first assignment is the away international friendly match against Zambia scheduled for Saturday, 7 September. This will be Ntseki’s first match in charge following the resignation of head coach Stuart Baxter after the Afcon tournament.
