Orlando Pirates have completed the double signing of winger Thabiso Lebitso and midfielder Thalente Mbatha, while there is also a return from loan for striker Tshegofatso Mabasa, the club confirmed on Thursday.
Lebitso, 28, is a former captain of the 2019 Nedbank Ke Yona Team and joins Pirates from Chippa United, where he has spent the last four-and-a-half seasons. He has signed on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

“Joining Orlando Pirates is a significant milestone in my career, and I’m eager to make a meaningful contribution to the team’s success,” Lebitso said in a club statement.
Lebitso made 98 appearances for Chippa, scoring two goals. He plays predominantly on the right, but can also feature on the left-wing if required.
Mbatha, 23, arrived on a six-month loan deal from SuperSport United, but Pirates will have an option to make it permanent at the end of the campaign if they wish.
He has found the going tough at SuperSport since his arrival from Highlands Park in November 2020, making just 29 appearances in all competitions.
“I’m thrilled to be here and can’t wait to start playing. I see this as a golden opportunity and intend to make the most of it,” he said.
Pirates have recalled Mabasa, 27, from loan at troubled Moroka Swallows, He had a fine first half of the season after scoring six goals in 13 DStv Premiership starts for The Birds.
Meanwhile, Pirates also confirmed they have parted ways with Cameroon forward Eva Nga, 30, who never quite settled following a July 2022 move from Chippa United. He has also previously played for BidVest Wits.
Eva Nga made 17 appearances in a Pirates shirt, scoring a single goal against Moroka Swallows in the 2022/23 season. He is now a free agent.
