Despite two double bogeys in his first six holes on Sunday, 36-hole leader David Toms got up-and-down from a greenside bunker for birdie on No 18 to win the Chubb Classic presented by SERVPRO by one stroke over a trio of players: Boo Weekley, Michael Wright and defending champion Justin Leonard.
The 59-year-old earned his fifth win on the seniors tour and moves up to No 2 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings ($296 500) behind Stewart Cink ($340 000).
His final-round 73 is the highest finish by a winner on the PGA Tour Champions since the 2023 ISPS HANDA Senior Open (Alex Cejka shot 76).
