Two-time Rugby World Cup-winning Springbok captain Kolisi has joined SuperSport, Your World of Champions, as an official brand ambassador.
SuperSport is proud to announce the association with Kolisi, the inspirational leader who captained the Boks to a historic fourth Rugby World Cup victory in France, making South Africa the first country to achieve that mark.
Kolisi’s first Rugby World Cup triumph came in 2019, when he helped steer the Springboks to the world title in Japan, before they went back-to-back in France last year. Both achievements were perfectly incapsulated in the docu-series, Chasing the Sun and Chasing the Sun 2, the award-winning documentary that has lifted all of South Africa.

“It is such an honour for me to be a brand ambassador for SuperSport, to join such an incredible team of people who are responsible to bring the world’s best sport to the continent,” said Kolisi, who is represented by Roc Nation Sports International, the global agency that facilitated this partnership.
“I’ve always said I want to impact as many people as possible, whether on or off the rugby field, and this is another way to reach people across the continent and hopefully make a mark and inspire people.”
Said SuperSport CEO Rendani Ramovha: “Siya Kolisi is someone who truly embodies the meaning of being a Champion and we are extremely proud to welcome him to the World of Champions. He is more than just a rugby player; he is someone who inspires South Africans from all walks of life, at home and abroad, and makes us want to be better, no matter what our circumstances dictate.
“He is the living embodiment of what can be achieved through the South African never-say-quit attitude, having made his way to the top of the sport despite his humble beginnings. To also be honoured in Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world was added proof of the impact he’s had on the world.”
Catch Kolisi and friends, including former Bafana Bafana international Siphiwe Tshabalala and former Spar Proteas captain Bongiwe Msomi, in conversation with comedian Mpho Popps in a special episode of SuperSport Unplugged, which premiers on SuperSport’s YouTube channel on Friday 24 May 2024.
