Hoërskool Ben Vorster will host a two-day netball extravaganza where the best schools in the province will fight for the available positions at DSTV Schools Netball Challenge nationals, powered by Bestmed Medical Scheme.
Limpopo has four places for schools that will represent the province at the fifth annual Netball Challenge national finals where the best netball schools battle for top honours. The 2025 edition will take place on 25-26 July at the Hoërskool Dr EG Jansen in Boksburg.
The Netball Challenge is a collaboration between Multichoice and the SA Schools Netball and it offers a platform for young players an equal opportunity to showcase their talent on a national stage.
The DSNC is divided into two streams, Botho and Ubuntu. It has been a platform for national coaches and selectors to spot and observe talent.
Limpopo Schools Netball coaching convener, Elmari Craig anticipates an incredible competition at the provincials.
“There are a lot of schools which are neck to neck. I think at the end of the day it's going to be the team that wants it the most and has grit that will be successful.
"We want to see growth and development from 2024, but most of all we want to see our talented players flourish on court. We want to see fair play among opponents,” said Craig.
Meanwhile, the Eastern Cape will see 18 schools converge to Hoërskool Hangklip in Queenstown for the provincial finals round. A total of four spots are available in both Ubuntu and Botho for the national finals.
