Two-time world champion Julian Alaphilippe will join Tudor Pro Cycling next season after 10 years with Soudal-Quick Step, the Swiss team announced on Monday.

Alaphilippe, 32, has signed a three-year contract with Tudor Pro, after having raced for the Belgian Soudal team since turning professional in 2014. He won the World Road Race Championships in 2020 and 2021, and has six Tour de France stage wins under his belt.

"After more than ten years with the same team, it was time for a change," Alaphilippe said in a team statement.

"It is the biggest change since the start of my career. It is the first time I will be riding in another team, and I think it's good to have a change of scenery after so many years."

Alaphilippe, who has also won the annual Milan-San Remo road cycling race and Strade Bianche, finished 11th in the road race at the Olympic Games in Paris earlier this month.
