Carlos Cuadras wins WBC interim title

In an all-Mexican clash, the No 2 rated Carlos Cuadras won on a split decision against the No 3 rated Pedro Guevara for the WBC interim junior bantamweight title in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on Saturday night.
The WBC junior bantamweight champion Juan Francisco Estrada has been side-lined due to injury and will have to defend against Cuadras once he has recovered.
Guevara was forced to take two counts but came back strongly in a closely fought encounter.

Cuadras improved his record to 42-5-1; 28 and Guevara’s record dropped to 40-4-1; 22.
Diego Pacheco wins in nine
The WBO No 3, IBF No 5, and WBC No 6, super middleweight Diego Pacheco 20-0; 17 won on a ninth-round knockout over Marcelo Caceres 32-6-1; 18 on Saturday night at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California.
Coceres was in the fight through the first eight rounds but in the ninth round, Pacheco scored with a big uppercut that sent Coceres down for the count. Time was 2:53.
In a female bout junior featherweight Erika Cruz 17-2; 3 outscored WBA champion Mayerlin Rivas 17-5-3; 11 winning on a majority decision. The scores were 95-95, 98-92, 97-93.
Bantamweight Jonathan Rodriguez 17-1-1; 7 won on a first-round technical knockout over former world champion Kal Yafai 27-3; 15 to claim the vacant WBA Intercontinental title. Rodriguez scored two knockdowns before the referee stopped the fight. Time was 2:17.
Adam Azim wins EBU European title
Adam Azim 10-0; 7 beat EBU European junior welterweight champion Franck Petitjean 24-7-3; 6 on Saturday night at The Halls in Wolverhampton, England.
Azim was in control before dropping Petitjean with a body shot in the fifth round and won after another knockdown in the tenth round.
WBO No 1 cruiserweight Richard Riakporhe 17-0; 13 won on a second-round stoppage against Dylan Bregeon 13-5-1; 3. The time was 1:36.
Tyler Denny 18-2-3; 1 won on a fourth-round stoppage to claim the EBU middleweight title when champion Matteo Signani 32-7-3; 12 did not come out for the fourth round.
Nick Ball wins WBC final eliminator
In a WBC featherweight final eliminator, WBC No 1 rated Nick “The Wrecking” Ball 19-0; 11 won on a twelve-round unanimous points decision over former world champion and WBC No 2 rated Isaac “Royal Storm” Dogboe 24-4; 15 on Saturday night at the AO Arena in Manchester, England.
Scores were 118-109, 116-111 and 119-108.
Middleweight Nathan Heaney 18-0; 6 beat British champion Denzel Bentley 18-3-1; 15 on a 12-round majority points decision. The scores were 114-114, 116-113 and 117-111.
EBU European junior featherweight champion Liam Davies 15-0; 7 won on a fifth technical knockout over the mandatory challenger Vincenzo La Femina 13-1; 7.
The time was 2:50.
Deok –No Yun wins WBO Asia Pacific title
Deok-No Yun 8-1; 6 won the vacant WBO Asia Pacific super middleweight title with a sixth-round stoppage against Tej Pratap Singh 18-7-3; 8 on Saturday in Seoul, Korea.
The time was 2:15.
Rodrigo Fabian Ruiz wins against Maikol Beaumont
The IBF No 13 ranked junior featherweight Rodrigo Fabian Ruiz 17-0; 13 from Argentina outpointed veteran Maikol Beaumont 18-5-1; 8 of Venezuela on Friday night at the Estadio F.A.B., Buenos Aires, Distrito Federal, Argentina.
Ruiz scored knockdowns in rounds 1, 4, and 7 to win with scores of 99-88, 98-89 and 97-90.
