Former UFC Flyweight Champion Deiveson Figueiredo exudes confidence heading into his latest fight against hometown hero Song Yadong at UFC Macau at the Galaxy Arena on Saturday.

Main even set to commence at 1pm (CAT, GMT+2).
Figueiredo (25-6-1) lost three of his last four fights, with the latest being a unanimous decision loss against Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC324 on 24 January in Las Vegas.
With a split decision win against Montel Jackson at UFC Fight Night: Oliveira v Gamrot sandwiched in between, the Brazilian also suffered back-to-back losses against Petr Yan and Cory Sandhagen respectively.
As the highlight of his career so far, Figueiredo claimed the UFC Flyweight belt at UFC 270 on 22 January 2022, where he defeated Brandon Moreno via unanimous decision in Anaheim, California.

Yadong (22-9-1 – 1NC) is likewise coming off a loss ahead of his fight on home soil, after suffering a unanimous decision defeat against Sean O’Malley at UFC 324 on 24 January.
Fighting out of Heilongjiang, Yadong claimed a fortunate win over MMA great Henry Cejudo at UFC Fight Night: Cejudo v Song on 22 January 2025 after an accidental eye poke rendered the former champion unable to continue in the third round.
While both fighters suffered losses against Yan, Yadong also claimed high profile wins over Chris Gutierrez and Ricky Simon in 2023.
Speaking ahead of the fight, Figueiredo expressed that while he understands Yadong is a speedy fighter, he expects to bring the most ‘aggressive’ version of himself this time around.
“For this fight, I want to bring my most aggressive version,” Figueiredo said.
“Yadong is very fast and powerful with his strikes. But I also hit hard and change levels very quickly. I can take him down at any moment.
“I am very prepared for this fight, and I will show that I am still alive in the category.”
Also featuring on the card, Chinese powerhouse Zhang Mingyang will take on Alonzo Menifield in the co-main event in the Light Heavyweight division.
Mingyang put the division on notice by recording TKO victories in three out of his last four fights in UFC events.
Elsewhere, Russian steam train Sergei Pavlovich will go to war with Tallison Teixeira in the Heavyweight division, with the former eager to claim more high-profile victories under his belt after seeing off names like Derrick Lewis, Tai Tuivasa and Curtis Blaydes in dominant fashion.
