Yamaha rider Toprak Razgatlioglu dominated the Assen World Superbike qualifying session to claim his second consecutive pole of the 2022 season on Saturday.
Kawasaki duo Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes led and early 1-2 in the first few laps but it did not take too long for Razgatlioglu took charge.
The WSBK champion Razgatlioglu went quickest by over three tenths.
BMW rider Scott Redding's frustrations continued when he ran off the track at turn eight like he did at Assen and ended up way down the field in 13th.
Rea went top but along came Razgatlioglu setting a time of 1:32.934s.
Razgatlioglu's time was a new lap record and nobody could touch him as Lowes pipped Rea to claim second spot on the grid.
Fourth quickest was Yamaha's Andrea Locatelli followed by Ducati's Alvaro Bautista and Garrett Gerloff on his Yamaha in sixth.
