Martin sets lap record to secure Austrian MotoGP pole

Spain's series leader Jorge Martin secured pole for both the German MotoGP sprint later on Saturday and the race proper, the 11th of the season.

Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) destroyed the lap record at the Red Bull Ring, clocking 1min 27.748sec.

The Spaniard will start ahead of his title rival Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team).
