McLaren endured a costly intra-team collision during the final lap of the Singapore Grand Prix sprint on Saturday when Lando Norris attempted an aggressive move on teammate Oscar Piastri for fourth place at turn 5.
Norris dived down the inside, but the pair made contact as Piastri turned into the corner, sending both cars into a spin. Piastri was pitched into the barriers and retired on the spot, while Norris recovered to finish eighth and salvage a single point.
The incident ruined what had looked set to be a solid points haul for McLaren, with the team running fourth and fifth before the clash.
Stewards investigated the collision but ruled that both drivers contributed to the accident and took no further action.
