After decades of the Spanish Grand Prix being synonymous with Barcelona, Formula 1 begins a new chapter at the all-new Madring, a 5.4 km hybrid circuit built around the IFEMA exhibition complex and the Valdebebas district.

CAN ANTONELLI EXTEND HIS LEAD?
Mercedes rookie sensation Kimi Antonelli arrives in Madrid carrying enormous momentum after a remarkable victory at Monza, where he fought back from 19th on the grid to win the Italian Grand Prix.
The result strengthened his championship position heading into the Spanish weekend.
The key question is whether Antonelli can continue his stunning rookie campaign at a venue where every driver starts with a blank notebook.

Max Verstappen remains firmly in the title fight and finished on the Monza podium. A high-speed layout with several overtaking opportunities could suit Red Bull's traditional strengths.
Ferrari
Ferrari enters the weekend under pressure. Charles Leclerc crashed out at Monza, while Lewis Hamilton could only manage sixth. However, Hamilton already won the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix earlier this season, proving Ferrari can still deliver on Spanish soil.
Ferrari has also reportedly completed running at Madring before the event, potentially providing valuable early feedback.
