The DSNC is a partnership between MultiChoice and South African Schools Netball launched in 2021 with the aim of unearthing future Spar Proteas stars while also creating a competition that will give rise to new school rivalries ensuring that all schools, urban and rural, get to experience the sport at the same level.

The North West leg of the competition will see 16 schools (9 Botho and 7 Ubuntu) battle it out for the six (3 Botho and 3 Ubuntu) spots available to represent the province at the national competition set for 8-9 August in Concordia, Johannesburg.

Hoërskool Volkskool in Potchefstroom on Saturday, June 11th will play host to the competition.

The 16 provincial finalist schools are divided into four groups, two Botho and two Ubuntu. Top two finishing schools at the end of the group stages proceed to the semifinals and then the finals. Losing semifinalists have a playoff for the third nationals’ spot.
