Dire Dawa trounce Wolaitta, Mechal beat Sidama Coffee

Dire Dawa City produced the big scoreline today when they beat Wolaitta Dicha 4-1.

Mechal Sports failed in their bid to became the first side to run the perfect scores this season when they lost 1-2 to Sidama Coffee.

The win for Sidama will be music to their fans after losing to local rivals, Hawassa City last week.

Sidama got out of the gates early with a second minute opening goal to go 1-0 up through Habtamu Tadesse.

Mechal drew level in the 23rd minute courtesy of a brilliant finish from their top star, Shameless Bekele for 1-1.

They were tied at the break but Sidama pushed harder in the second half and were rewarded with a Yigezu Bogale winner in the 69th minute, 2-1 it ended.

Elsewhere, Dire Dawa needed two goalscorers, each with a brace to beat Wolaitta Dicha 4-1

Charles Muslige with the opening goal in the 9th minute before completing his brace five minutes later to give Dire Dawa a 2-0 win in the 14th minute.

Dire Dawa went 3-0 up in the 38th minute as

Mohammednur Nasir got on the score sheet and they ran that into halftime.

The second half was again dominated by Dire Dawa and Mohammednur Nasir made it 4-0 in the 58th minute.

Yared Darza pulled one back for Wolaitta Dicha in the 75th minute, to reduce the tally to 4-1.
