AL-HILAL INCREASE LEAD IN SAUDI ARABIA WITH COMEBACK WIN
Al-Hilal came from a goal down to beat Al-Riyadh 3-1 on Friday and record their 27th consecutive win in all competitions, the victory moving them 12 points clear in the Saudi Pro League.
Ali Al-Bulayhi's 52nd minute own goal gave the home side the lead but a Ruben Neves penalty 14 minutes later levelled the scores before goals from Michael and Aleksandar Mitrovic earned Al-Hilal the three points.
Second-placed Al-Nassr slipped further behind following a 3-1 loss to Al-Raed on Thursday.
SHANGHAI SHENHUA MAKE IT TWO WINS FROM TWO GAMES
Shanghai Shenhua picked up their second win in a row to maintain their strong start to the Chinese Super League campaign. First-half goals from Cephas Malele and Andre Luis gave Shanghai a 2-0 win over Qingdao West Coast.
Defending champions Shanghai Port are one of five teams on four points after they were held 0-0 by Zhejiang FC.
HIROSHIMA GO TOP IN JAPAN AFTER EASY WIN OVER TOSU
Sanfrecce Hiroshima beat Sagan Tosu 4-0 on Saturday to move into pole position in Japan on goal difference ahead of Kashiwa Reysol and newly-promoted Machida Zelvia.
Tsukasa Shiotani and Takumu Kawamura gave Hiroshima a two-goal lead at the interval before a penalty from Pieros Sotiriou and a stoppage-time effort from Shuto Nakano completed the win for the home side.
Machida pulled off a surprise 1-0 win over Kashima Antlers through Yu Hirakawa's 13th minute goal while Kashiwa won 1-0 against Jubilo Iwata after Taiyo Koga found the target.
CENTRAL COAST BEAT MACARTHUR TO TAKE TOP SPOT IN AUSTRALIA
Central Coast Mariners moved into first place in the A-League with a 3-0 victory over Macarthur FC on Sunday, taking full advantage of Wellington Phoenix's 1-0 defeat by Melbourne City the previous day.
Josh Nisbet, Ronald Barcellos and Ryan Edmondson were on target as last season's A-League Championship winners climbed over Wellington and into first place.
The New Zealand-based side had led the table going into the weekend but Samuel Souprayen's goal in the 58th minute saw them slip to defeat against hosts Melbourne City on Saturday.
ULSAN, GWANGJU MAINTAIN UNBEATEN STARTS IN KOREA
Defending champions Ulsan Hyundai and Gwangju FC are the only teams left with perfect records in the K League after picking up wins at the weekend. Ulsan beat Gimcheon Sangmu 3-2 while Gwangju earned a 4-2 win over Gangwon FC.
Lee Dong-gyeong scored twice in the opening 26 minutes as Ulsan opened up a three-goal lead against the army side but they were forced to hold on after a second-half brace from Kim Hyeon-ug.
Gabriel Tigrao scored twice as Gwangju won a seesaw battle with Gangwon. Choi Kyoung-rok's 98th minute penalty made sure of the win.
