MI Cape Town won the toss and decided to bat first in their Betway SA20 match against the Joburg Super Kings at the Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.

JSK is sitting in second place with three wins, a single loss, and two no-results in their campaign and have one eye on a top two finish and a shot at a spot in the final. A win will lift them above the current leaders, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, who have 19 points from six games.

Beating MI Cape Town in this encounter will even things out because the visitors defeated JSK in a rain-affected contest at Newlands last week. The match was reduced to 12 overs a side and MI Cape Town romped to a four-wicket wicket win. JSK will be looking to get their own back in front of their home fans.

Victory for JSK will also mean that the two teams are on level pegging in head-to-head contests. MI Cape Town leads the overall head-to-head 3-2.

MI Cape Town, on the other hand, are languishing in last place with a single win in six outings. The win came in their last outing and they will be hoping to maintain that momentum. They have also lost four matches and have a single no-result in their campaign.
